Our Online Hire Shipping policy

Delivery charges
Any online hire charges are applied at the point of adding the goods to your cart, the fees for transport are based on delivery anywhere within the lanarkshire, West lothian, Clackmananshire, and Stirlingshire region.
where any hires fall outwith these areas there may be a surcharge to apply to the total cost of the goods

Where this is the case the hirer (you) will be contacted a minimum of 24 after request on a standard hire or within one hour of our "Hire in a Hurry" service with full details of the applicable surcharge.
should the hirer not agree to the surcharge they have the right to terminate the hire agreement up to 72 hours prior to agreed dispatch date on a standard hire without penalty and a full refund will be made by Burnside Kilt company
Due to the nature of our "Hire in a Hurry" service, the hirer will given the option to cancel without penalty at the point of contact, subsequent cancellation at the discretion of Burnside kilt company may incurr a late cancelation fee of 20% of the total hire cost inclusive of VAT

Pick up and drop off service
Where The hirer has submitted a request for burnside to drop off an outfit, the hirer must ensure that the holder of the card used in the online transaction is available at the point of delivery to confirm identification.
Burnside Kilt company will not release any garments unless the card and proof of identity has been verified, Suitable forms of Identity are, Passport, New style driving license, 2 utility bills- ie phone, gas, or electricity containing the same address given in the online hire agreement.
Where Burnside hire are unable to make a drop for the reasons outlined above ie unsuitable or no identification or no recipient available we will use the contact number used in the agreement to make you aware of the failed drop, the goods will then be returned to the Falkirk shop where the hirer can make a new arrangement if he/she so chooses to re deliver the goods at a further delivery charge or pick the goods up personally at no extra cost.

Where agreed Burnside kilt company will uplift goods from a pre agreed venue, any changes to this venue will have to be agreed in advance and where a surcharge is applicable this would have also be bourn by the hirer and payable in advance.
If Burnside fail to make an uplift due to fault on the part of the hirer burnside will charge a £5 surchard per item in the hire on the non returned goods for each day thereafter until the goods are returned.
